Donate to the ACA Scholarship Trust

The ACA Scholarship Trust was established in 1924 by a fraternal benefit society originally named Association Canado-Américaine subsequently named ACA Assurance. The trust was established as a separate not-for profit entity organized under IRS section 501(c)(3). The trust has grown over the years from donations by individuals, past scholarship recipients and by periodic donations from ACA Assurance. ACA Assurance is no longer in existence, however, the Scholarship Trust remains as an organization dedicated to providing funds for students desiring to pursue university or college learning.

With a contribution of $15,000 or more, a donor may establish an Endowed Scholarship to honor the donor's designee. An Endowed Scholarship helps carry on the legacy of a significant family member, mentor, colleague or friend, while providing scholarship support in our community in perpetuity.

  • Assets are invested in such a way as to grow—distributions are made based on a spending rule calculation of 5% of an average 12-month market value.
  • Donors can elect to establish simple scholarship criteria.
  • Recipients can also be chosen from the annual pool of applicants to ACA Scholarship Trust.
